The original Penbontbren farm was built in approx 1860 and maintained it's sheep & cattle farming until 1985. The farm-to-hotel conversion took place in 1985 and took approximately 3 years to create the splendid rural hotel that Penbontbren is today.

Boasting stonewalls, wooden beams and fireplaces the hotel itself is beaming with traditional rural character. The conversion was so highly regarded that, Country Landowners Association presented an award to the hotel for best farm building conversion in Wales & West of England.
