We had a wonderful stay at Penbontbren. We stayed in the garden room which was lovely. Our room was beautifully furnished with views over the extensive garden.
Richard and Huw could not have been better hosts. For instance helping to unpack our car as I had hurt my back.
Breakfast was served in the main house. The quality was excellent with plentiful choices to be made from the menu.
Richard was interested in what the guests were doing and had suggestions as where to eat or visit.
If we could award 10 stars we would. Unlikely to find a better B&B anywhere.

Can't thank you all enough for an wonderful couple of nights. Both me and my partner fell in love with your location and approach to service.

The garden room is quaint luxurious and perfect to unwind. Coming from central manchester we are used to noise and hustle. This was such a tranquil treat.

The staff were all absolutely focused on making our stay memorable and you all most certainly did.

Thank you so much...

We will be back as soon as we can.

First visit to Penbontbren and West Wales.
We had a wonderful time.Penbrontbren should not really be classed as a B&B it is far superior.A self contained cottage, six top notch suites and a separate garden suite in which we stayed for three nights. Everything was faultless, White Co. linen and toiletries, well stocked mini fridge and welcome tray. Breakfast is presented in a separate breakfast room with crisp white table linen and silver service and any of the delicious hot food is freshly cooked on the Aga. You must try Richards prunes steeped in Earl Grey Tea with Triple Sec and Honey from their own bees on pesticide free land.
Huw, Richard and Carol are the most welcoming of hosts, and insist you make use of the lovely gardens and lawns. The nearby coast has many fine beaches and plenty of good places to eat, Richard is a mine of information on all this.
My wife and I found the whole package exceptional and will be returning as soon as we can. Anyone staying here will not be disappointed.

We just love this haven of peace and tranquility. Countryside setting but close to a great choice of beaches, walks and it's own gorgeous gardens.
It's very hard to choose between the luxury B&B suites with their own private outdoor seating areas, extremely spacious rooms with lounges, or the 4 bedroom cottage with its own garden, conservatory, cosy lounges, large kitchen, and the beds are lthe most comfortable we've ever slept in. We are back for our 6th visit in July, it truly is the place to relax and unwind. Richard & Huw are the most welcoming hosts, and with Carol & their team nothing is too much trouble, the welcome, luxury accommodation and great breakfasts are beyond reproach. See you all again soon. Thank you all !

As wonderful as ever if only every hotel was like this. This is not our first visit to Penbontbren and hopefully not our last. Like so many returning guests you are made to feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful hosts. The accommodation is 5 star with your own suite and patio area in the garden. Every detail is thought of in the suites and it is spotlessly clean. Breakfast is top class and beautifully served tables are laid with clean white linen. It is in the middle of such a peaceful location with sandy beaches close by. Does this seem over the top? Well you have to visit to experience it. Credit needs to be given where it is deserved and Penbontbren richly deserves it. Kay & Ashley

We decided to visit Wales for the first time last week. We only booked for one day but we could not have been more pleased to have found Penbontbren...shame we couldn't stay longer but we will certainly be back! Even though we booked so last minute, they could not have been lovelier on the phone making us feel that we would be very welcome and well looked after!
We were given a gorgeous suite room as a complimentary upgrade (first time we've had an upgrade anywhere I might add) and it was much appreciated. The room was well designed, welcoming and cosy and the level of detail was excellent. It seems the lovely Richard and Huw at Penbontbren certainly know how to do luxury accommodation; they have thought of everything you might need, making it a real home from home.
The attention to detail was excellent too, in the bright breakfast room just across the courtyard from our suite. The tables were laid up very prettily and the food was wonderful. We found our hosts to be so charming, entertaining and helpful. We got lots of great tips that helped us enjoy our very quick visit. We would highly recommend Penbontbren to anyone wanting to stay in Wales...it really is a gem.
